There are many quirks in the forum structure that are counter-intuitive but that we are unable to change.

The information entered into the user “profile” does NOT affect what shows up in the user “signature”.  When you update your version info in the profile, the signature stays the same.

The only way to update the info that shows at the bottom of your posts is to do it through the signature.
