Interface with Zocdoc

I searched previous topics and in the past, circa 2006, Zocdoc interfaced with Ecw.
But when we asked ECW before signing the contract, we were told they don’t interface with Zocdoc and would want patients to use Healow.
Healow is not seo optimized and it will not get us new patients through the doors.
Unless it can bring in new patients based on provider’s reviews, innet work insurance, pictures, availability,
Healow is not a comparison to Zocdoc, so they shoudn’t compare themselves to Zocdoc.
They should allow Zocdoc to interface with ECW, clear and simple.
ECW is losing patients on this issue alone.

Clinical Rule Engine

We would really love to be able to trigger from the following areas WITHOUT AN APPT. (CRE requires us to choose a date even if I select NOT “Consult”
1. Info Screen/Insurance type/class/response to parent (& child) questions in structured data area.
2. Inbound referral/Auth Type/response to parent/child questions in structured data area.

Here are a few examples…
1. When a patient is referred and that patient has an HMO insurance we have to manually open an Inbound referral and assign it to our HMO Dept. to work prior to booking the patient.
2. When a patient has an out of state BCBS insurance, we have to manually open an inbound referral and 2 actions to obtain a signed order and copy of sleep study. These plans require pre-auths to see the patient and take x-rays

These manual processes could be eliminated by allowing us to trigger off of Insurance names, classes etc. without a visit or by selecting No “Consult” in the rule building area and not be forced to select appt date.

ALLOW CUSTOMIZATION security attribute is for ADMIN and now ECW lump other permission into this one. Our providers want the ability to added Browser statements in the Treatment, HPI etc section, but we don’t want to give them this permission since is opens up other ability , Like adding delete categories etc.

Discontinued Medication List

Is there a way to print the entire medication list including discontinued medications? We typically use the Medical Summary from the patient hub and select Medications from the print/fax options. It shows not taking but not discontinued. iOur rheumatology department often needs a list of current and failed/discontinued medications to get new treatments approved. Opened a ticket with eCW, the tech I worked with was not aware the medical summary only printed current medications. They will get back to us. Is there a setting I am missing?

Combination vaccine VIS documentation

Has anyone else found a solution for documenting multiple VIS documents for combination vaccines? At this point we are only able to select one VIS document due to the CVX code assigned to the document is the same.

TwinRix - CVX 104 as an example, but that is not the only vaccine that may have more than one VIS date required. We need to be able to enter more than one VIS whether it has the same date or has multiple dates on combination vaccines . SO in the instance of CVX 104 the Hep A date is 7/20 2016 and the Hep B date is 10/12/2018. But we are not able to select both documents.

Other CVX codes that may need more than one VIS entry with the same date or they may have multiple dates are:
CVX 51
CVX 110
CVX 120
CVX 130

Discussion
Beth,

I am giving you TwinRix - CVX 104 as an example, but that is not the only vaccine that may have more than one VIS date required. I need to be able to enter more than one VIS whether it has the same date or has multiple dates on combination vaccines . SO in the instance of CVX 104 the Hep A date is 7/20 2016 and the Hep B date is 10/12/2018

Other CVX codes that may need more than one VIS entry with the same date or they may have multiple dates are:
CVX 51
CVX 110
CVX120
CVX 130

Here is the CDC Website with CVX and VIS dates listed. The rule of thumb would be any vaccine under the column - VCX Vaccine description that has a hyphen in it will likely have multiple entries needed ( DTaP-HepB-IPV; DTaP-IPV and so on)
https://www2a.cdc.gov/vaccines/iis/iisstandards/vaccines.asp?rpt=cvxvis

I would appreciate hearing from practices that have experienced this issue and finding out what was done to resolve this.
Thank you

Hi, we are trying to comply with HIPAA and not utilize a generic windows user AD account for every nurse to utilize in the patient room. However, we run into the problem of patient progress notes being locked by the previous nurse in the file. Does anyone have an awesome solution for locked progress notes?
