Any FQHC billing TC ONLY for Radiology appointments.

Hello,
We are looking for an FQHC that is billing for Radiology TC only. we’ve been trying to get this set up for a bit and running into issues as eCW does not have a TC only claim. we are trying to use HCFA forms as this is the closest form that eCW has. we are trying to bill using our facility as the billing, Rendering and Supervising provider. we are doing this because we do not have a radiologist on staff that can read the x-ray. we are getting insurance rejected as the facility can’t be used as a rendering provider. as we do not have a provider rendering services, we are unsure of who to put as the rendering provider. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Blood Pressure Remote Patient Monitoring

Does anyone use a BP Remote Patient Monitoring program that will alert them, whether inside of outside of ECW, when the patient has a reading that is outside of the norm?

We are doing the BP Remote program currently, and the information is flowing into the patient chart through Healow, but we only see the information when we go into the patient chart when they are seen for their next appointment.

We are looking for something more proactive to alert us when their readings are out of range so we can contact the patient.

Vision Module Information

Billing Setup

Hello,

I work for an FQHC who process Medical and Dental claims. We are evaluating other solutions for billing out of eCW. My expertise lies in Clinical/EMR Admin so I’m not too familiar with back office workflows/set up.

I would like to connect with another FQHC site that does Medical and Dental claims who are satisfied with their current billing solutions. I would like to connect you or your recommended setup with my CFO.

We currently have Waystar and are not happy with them.

Faxing lab requisitions to patients/group homes that are not associated with a lab

Hello,

I am writing to see what other FQHC’s who are on the web version are doing when they have to fax a lab requisition to a patient/group home and the patient/group home does not know which lab they are going to use.

Currently if multiple labs are ordered that are not associated with a lab company and we fax them out the lab requisition will default to whichever lab that is configured to fax to. (we are not actually faxing to the lab, we ““pretend” to fax to the lab so we can change the fax number to the patent/group home fax number after the requisition is sent, This is the workaround we have to use with eCW’s web functionality. They took away the ability to fax multiple labs to a patient because I think they changed the functionality to only fax lab reqs to labs).

What we want to be able to do is send a general lab req (sometimes with multiple labs at once) that is accepted at any lab and that usually appears when you print a lab not associated with a lab company but this does not seem to work because if I select one lab from quest and the rest not associated with a lab company. On the send screen to fax the lab reqs it will print/fax a Quest lab req not a general one.

Some of the labs we use are Quest, Labcorp, Bioreference, Sunrise and Enzo.

I am just trying to get an idea on how to do this since the patient has the right to go to whichever lab they choose and we are facing issues with having to refax labs/print and manually fax them because some labs do not accept requisitions configured for other labs.

Combining old EHR and eCw data for UDS

Hi everyone,

Second post here

In May 2021 we moved away from GE Centricity to eClinicalWorks. We have data in Centricity for 1/1/2021-5/3/2021. We are looking for professional services/consultant services that can help reconcile the two data sources so we can provide unique counts for UDS reporting.
If anyone has any suggestions or feels like this is something you’re familiar with, please let me know.

Good Faith Estimates

Has anyone determined a good workflow for creating Good Faith Estimates in eCW for FQHC’s prior to a patient being seen? it sounds like we are most likely going to have to figure out how to do this sooner rather than later and I’m curious what others are doing.

“On September 30, 2021, HHS released its second Interim Final Rule (IFR) to protect consumers from surprise medical bills, implementing the “No Surprises Act” enacted in December 2020. This IFR establishes requirement for health care providers (including CHCs) to provide “self-pay” patients with a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) of their total out-of-pocket cost for specific services within 1 to 3 days of the patient scheduling the care or requesting the GFE.”

Sliding Fee Schedule not showing up in UDS reports

The Sliding Fee schedule is set up automatically in the UDS report. Im having difficulty running the UDS report for table 4. For some reason, our Sliding Fee information is not pulling on this report even though it is being collected and recorded in the system. We have 7000 patients listed as â€œunknownâ€? on this report when many of them have the information in the system.

CoPayment on Virtual Appointments

I’m curious if any other FQHC out there is doing virtual appointments and how are they collecting copayment on those visits? Currently we are doing both telephone and virtual appointments via doxy.me With doxy.me we have just implemented a process where the MA can room the patient, but we don’t have anyone check the patient out so no money is collected. Obviously we want to get paid whenever possible so I’m wondering what everyone else is doing. Nothing is very straightforward with FQHC copayments it seems….
