I have been using ECW for many years now and currently work from home part time for a small practice here in Buffalo, NY. I have been doing the billing out of my home for the past 5 years and have been with this practice for 10 years. I am looking to pick up another part time small to medium practice. I would prefer a practice who see’s less than 80 patients per day. I can access your practice from anywhere in the US via Remote connection through SonicWall or Gotomypc.com. I do everything electronically which makes it possible for me to work from home.

I have become an ECW expert and super-user. I have done all webinars and have also been going to the conferences every year to keep up to date and all that is new with ECW. I also go to any local conferences to keep up to date on any and all insurance updates or changes.

I have been billing for over 15 years. I have the knowledge and experience to make your practice thrive and be proactive in keeping your receivables down and keeping a steady flow of payments. Clinical Applications Administrator

We’re a 500 employee, FQHC located just north of Denver. Great skiing and fishing is sooo close!

Duties: Participates in all aspects of implementation and design of the eClinicalWorks (eCW) application in order to effectively use clinical information technology solutions to improve upon clinical operations. Provides on-going support and maintenance to eCW including other clinical systems as required.

* Serves as an advisor to internal employees to insure that information needs are understood and will document specifications for the system based on identified business needs.

* Will participate on committees to customize the application and design templates.

* Accountable to troubleshoot and work with vendor on any issues with eCW.

* Provides appropriate analysis, research and reporting to address customer needs.

* Configure and support the eCW system interfaces with department managers and outside vendors.

* Accountable to document and perform Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as approved by committees for operating and maintenance of the eCW application regarding file maintenance updates, file transfers, and other similar duties.

* Ensures the installation of software upgrades in coordination with the IT Department and vendors. Will be responsible to coordinate testing of the new release to minimize issues with eCW.

* Ability to maintain a positive supportive attitude when understanding and dealing with customer concerns, emotions, or characteristics.

* Responsible for security management for the electronic health records (EHR) application including duties such as adding, deleting and maintaining log-in names, passwords and security level access to the EHR network in conjunction with the Applications Analyst.

* Acts as the Lead System Administrator for eCW.

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Servers required.

* Position will require after-hours work and on-call hours may be required.

* Participates in department based activities and initiatives to improve and ensure a safe environment.

* All other duties as required.

Sensitivity to low income and ethnic minority community a must.

Education: Bachelor‘s Degree in Information Technology or related field preferred.

A minimum of three years experience as an administrator of eCW required.

The Sr. Systems Analyst is responsible for coordinating participating physician office input and translating requirements to make enterprise and practice-level decisions relating to the eClinicalWorks EMR and PM software application.
The analyst is responsible for executing application and interface configuration, testing, implementation, and ongoing support. The position is the primary contact for EMR system-related processes, questions, and requirements.

Qualifications:
To be considered, you must have 5+ years of experience as an analyst, with your work having comprised supporting applications, assisting with system implementations and upgrades, and project management.

eCW Business Manager Consultant from the DFW AREA

We are in need of a business manager for a short term consulting contract to review the offices use of the eCW software. This will be a 2-3 day contract. The consultant should be well versed in the use and configuration of version 9 of the eCW software suite in an Obstetrics and Gynecology practice. We will pay for travel and accomodations, day rate negotiable. We would prefer someone from the DFW area as our practice is located just outside of Fort Worth.

Required Qualifications:
eCW ver 9
Business Manager with 5 years of experience in an OB/Gyn setting
Billing and Coding experience and familiarity with Emdeon

Other Info:
This is a new practice with a new doc. We current bill out of network while awaiting credentialing with various insurance companies. Many patients are seen with the expectation that we will not ever collect for the visit (this is temporary).

The Medical Billing Specialist is a key member of the Physician Practice and provides coding, collections and billing expertise to ensure all patient accounts are worked in an efficient and productive manner.

**DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

*Work aged receivables utilizing A/R reports and the collection module in eClinicalWorks and MicroMD practice management systems

*Review and assess adjudicated claims for timely and proper payment of outstanding balances

*Research, correct, and resubmit or reprocess unpaid claims as necessary

*Verify validity of account balance by researching, reviewing and ensuring accuracy of payment and adjustment posting

*Review and interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOB) for denials and underpayment of codes. Research and resolve denials and underpayments with insurance carriers

*Verify all identified insurance carriers for eligibility and confirm carrier policy for referral and authorization requirements as needed for claims adjudication

**Requirements**

A high school diploma or GED is required

Skill in dealing with interpersonal issues and customer relations

A minimum of 2-3 years of solid Medical Billing and Collections experience required

Experience in a surgical practice strongly preferred

Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT & HCPCS coding, CPC preferred

Ability to productively and effectively work in a fast paced environment and the ability to handle multiple priorities at once with minimal supervision

Excellent customer service skills and professionalism

Dependability

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information.

Pay is based on level of experience and credentials.
