Good afternoon.

Just wondering how your practices handle locum coverage for a provider who has left the practice.
Is this an acceptable practice to get a locum license, or do you obtain “regular” license for the covering provider.
Our billing Dept showed me documentation about being able to use a locum license, however, an active locum license requires us to keep active the provider that left?? Follow me?

Is this an acceptable practice?

Thank you

We are a cardiology practice of 10 providers and currently use Bardydx and IRhythm Zio heart monitors. The issue we have come across is that the monitors require both a hook-up order and an interpretation order. Our providers have been entering both orders, and pushing the hook-up to todays orders (the patient will have it placed in the office). Our billing company is missing our interpretation charges because we push them up through a virtual visit, which they say they cannot see and only bill based on the schedule. Any other practices that have experience with Bardy or IRhythm, or any feedback on the workflow for a hook-up and interpretation charge?
Thank you!

We have about 25 providers who practice at multiple locations under our Organization.
We we told that for ePrescription that we can use one SPI number for those providers.
However, this past March ECW is now telling us that we need to have multiple SPI numbers, one for each location.

In addition, I was told by a pharmacist from CVS today that when the addresses for the provider don’t match, they are required? to fax the request back as opposed to eprescribe.

Anyone else having this issue or know the answer?
