My goal is to start transitioning all my users to browser version, so when we switch to V12 eventually, it will be a smoother transition.

Hi everyone,

Am needing to gain administrative knowledge of eCW (Both EMR & PM) in a short amount of time. I have support from my boss in paid training.

Have been weighing the effectiveness of doing the three week “train the trainer” training eCW offers, vs paying a consultant (revele MD)

I have a feeling getting the consultant may provide an additional layer of knowledge specific to our business, on-top of their already in-depth knowledge that would provide a lot of help.

But I also feel going to Massachusetts for three weeks, engulfed in the eCW environment and conversing with those in different practices may be a better solution.

Ultimately, my main concern is just the quality of training. I need to be the go-to guy for all eCW EMR & PM issues, training and questions at my company.

Our company has been using eCW since 2007. We would like to rethink our eCW training plan for new employees excluding providers. Currently new staff, admin & clinical, receive 2 hours of basic navigation on day 2 of employment. Admins receive the remainder of their training hands-on at their sites (we have 5+ locations). RNs, LPNS, & MAs receive an additional 3-4 hours of training during week 2 of employment. We used a training server with fake/old eCW data in the past but this was difficult to maintain. eCW training is demonstrated on a 60” screen in a training or conference room with handouts provided. We may have 1-8 new hires every other week with a mix of administrative and clinical roles. Does anyone have a successful new employee training program you would be willing to share?

We are thinking of using the Inventory module within eCW ($1,000 yearly) to help us keep track of our inventory. We’ll be starting with our optical department to help us keep track of Rx glasses, sunglasses, ect and then move on to in-house supplies, immunizations, etc. I’ve been reviewing all the inventory videos and documentation on my.eclinicalworks.com and they seem pretty helpful so far. We had a demo set up last week and it went well.

Was just wondering if anyone here has used it before, is it any good? Any regrets? Any suggestions or do you wish you did anything differently when you first started setting up the inventory?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
