We have an onsite UFG Fax server with a Brooktrout fax card. We are seeing all local long distance fax numbers fail on the first try. If a number for a referral provider in our system is formatted and saved as 252-123-4567 when a referral is faxed it gets sent as (252) 123-4567 and it fails. The referral specialists have to go to the failed fax, edit the number to 252-123-4567 (removing the brackets) and refax. It always goes the second time. Note: There is no option to edit the fax number when sending the fax the first time on the referral.

Has anybody else had this issue? Is there a setting to fix this?

Now we are trying to figure out a work around for the following:

In v11 a nurse used to be able to import a doctor’s signature onto a refill prescription that was faxed to us from a pharmacy.
Now in v12 the nurse cannot do that and the doctor has to.

Also, in v11 an medical assistant was able to import a doctor’s signature on to a preop worksheet and now the medical assistants can not do that.

This causes a shift in our workflow process. Is there any way to allow the v12 to perform like the version 11 in these two cases?

Thanks!

What document scanners are you all using on v12 and does it work well for you? We had ben using Epson DS-530ii scanners with v11 .exe and that worked well, but now on v12 we are experiencing performance issues scanning with the v12 plugin and Epson DS-530ii that will cause v12 to become unresponsive. To fix we either have to ctrl-alt-del and end task v12 or restart the computer to regain the scan function. I know Epson DS-530ii is not officially supported by ECW on v12 (it’s v11 .exe only) but I was wondering what your experiences are.
I understand that EPSON DS-530ii scanners are not listed as compatible for v12 plugin. They worked really well for use on the .exe and I don’t to replace them unnecessarily.
Thank you!

We just upgraded to V12.0.1 using plugin 5.3.4593.

We found out this Plugin version has a known bug that won’t allow you to delete documents from Patient Documents - Plugin Mode > Fax inbox.

I’ve been give JIRA PL 973 for this issue.

I’m told it is a P1 issue and will be fixed in the next plugin; however, that doesn’t help my staff who are already struggling with exclusively using the Browser version. The browser version isn’t as friendly for the Document management staff as the EXE was.

I’m looking at downgrading the plugin for my document managemnet staff to a version before this but was introduced.

Is there anyone on V12 using a 5.X plugin where this isn’t an issue? If so what plugin version are you using?

I’ve asked eCW for the plugin version this was introduced in, but i’ve heard crickets so far.

Thank you.
