Is there a way we can send a $0 claim through eCW. We have a few claims that need codes deleted out of them due to CMS (our AHO is making us do this). They stated to send the claim back through without a penny code, but when the claim is $0 and I change the status to ‘Ready to Submit’, it’s not showing up in the batch because it’s $0.

I would love some information! I’ve reached out to several people and they just don’t get what I’m asking.

When electronically posting ERA file for BCBS – if there is a primary and secondary BCBS payer that share the same ERA Payer ID – the payments are not distributing correctly. It is automatically choosing the first payer listed in the file or first payer in alphabetical order. For example, primary payer is Federal BCBS and secondary is Blue Medicare. When the primary payment post it is posting as Blue Medicare even after hitting distribute payment. This is causing errors and not sending claims to secondary. Anybody have a workaround or solution?

Just wondering… are we the only practice who is having issues with new claim screen?

You now have to drag and drop ICD codes to change the order. but not a normal drag and drop. you have to drag a small button (instead of an entire row or line) and the fact that you have to drag and scroll when you have more than 4 ICD codes (hello family practice here!!!.. sometimes have 20+ ICD’s on a claim) Who would even think of putting a drag icon? and what trained UX designer decided to place it next to a trash can? none of this makes sense.

we had whats next? removing the funciton keys for “ready to submit” and “next claim”?

we weren’t nofied of the update prior - all the sudden everything is different and now we have employees who have disabilities unable to perform tasks, and others who have been slowed down so much that we are contemplating leaving eCW.

The last update with the floating side bar (without the option to disable it) was horrible and continues to be annoying as it slows down the entire screen drawing proces resulting less claims generated per minute.

I’d love to hear feedback from others. This triggered us to start considering other options.

Since moving from the EXE version to the web version to go to version 12 it appears as if eCW has abandoned billing staff and trading a working product for a product which will result in any sizable practice needing to add staff to get the same work done in the same time. The time it takes to search is far slower, the ability to tab around claims no longer functions, using arrow keys to move along a given claim line fails and send the cursor back to the first box of the top claim line. In general, this product just seems broken for billing. Does any have any tips or tricks or can you verify that this is not occurring in your practices for those who have upgraded to v12 from EXE? I am looking for any help before my billing staff mutinies and makes me walk the plank here!
