I have tested and I can not get it to do this.

For example… 30 minute at 1pm, 1:30pm and 2:00pm. I book an appt in the 1pm slot but extend to 2pm.

I see my extended slot with the remaining 1:30 visit type slot still on the screen.

Can anyone tell me what they see when they do this?

We are looking to implement wave scheduling. I have been playing around with ‘Working Hours’ to create a scenario that works best for us. The problem I’m having is I want the schedule to allow a total of 4 appointments, but they can be of several different types…for instance:

@8 AM - we could have 2 established sleep patients & 2 established pulmonary patients. We have 2 different appointment types because we use different questionnaires for each. We could also do 3 est sleep & 1 est pulm…how do I get the schedule to allow a TOTAL of 4 of either est sleep or est pulm?

Is there some report in ecw that shows us when we appointments are throughout the year. This way to help balance and better distribute any bottlenecks. For example in my practice, it feels like we do a lot of physicals in august and September but then October schedule is light. If I could see a graph of last years appt schedule, I can plan better appointment distribution this year, aka load balancing. It would be a nice Visual kpi also, now just raw data for spreadsheet geeks

Hello - if you are using Healow Open Access and allowing patients to “request” an appt slot - if you don’t accept their request there is no way to get rid of the patient request - it just sits their until the date of the request has passed. I don’t know how clinics would manage differentiating new requests coming in from those you don’t accept. It would seem the list could be hard to manage.

Hoping an ECW Open Access user can share their thoughts. Note - I’ve already talked to ECW - and they don’t have a solution for my question - so hoping to hear from actual users. We initially turned the feature on but its now OFF because of this issue.

Hello,

We are a Pediatrics practice group and we are looking into the kiosk check-in feature to streamline our work-flow. I just did a demo session with ECW. Question for the group:

How are people collecting data on race/ethnicity/language/gender (SOGI) etc while using the Kiosk check-in? Currently, we have a paper form with all these questions and a staff manually enters these in the EMR.

These are mandatory information for any PCMH certified site and these questions are part of ECW demographic/info data page. I do not know why they have not imported these questions in the Kiosk check-in.

So, my question is about a work-around for collecting this kind of data?
Any method which may import this data directly in the EMR, would be fantastic but if not, please do let me know what you use and how you import the data in the EMR.

Thank you

Prior to V12, we could take or import a patient photo within Patient demographics. This picture then appears on the Hub and at the top chart panel.

Where in V12 can we do this? I know we can use Mediscan ScanShell to scan drivers licenses and the picture will populate this section. This will not work on patients without a drivers license like infants and children.

We are testing an alternate way of scheduling for one of our clinics using Resources instead of individual provider schedules. (Scheduling by exam room to make sure we aren’t double-booking the 2 exam rooms that are shared between 4 providers.) When we schedule, we select the specific Provider and Resource in the appointment screen. The issue we’ve found is that we cannot filter on the Office Visit screen to only show appointments scheduled with a specific provider. We can set the filters for Exam Room 1 and Exam Room 2 but it shows all patients for all providers. When we filter by specific provider and set other filters to All, nothing shows.
Per eCW, there is no way to use this schedule setup and have the provider be able to only see their patients on the Office Visit screen.

How do other clinics manage this?

eCW - do not open a ticket for me. I submitted a ticket and spoke with a rep that I do not wish to work with again.

Hi all, ECW new user here.

Was wondering if anyone knows a way to add a pop up box or an alert when scheduling an annual wellness exam? We commonly have AWE’s scheduled within the same 12 months which created denials and other issues because not enough time has passed. Is there anything that can be implemented to help when scheduling these?

Thank you!
