DEXIS Integrator Question

Hello,

We have recently moved from Dentrix to eCW for our Dental team. DEXIS support renumbered our DEXIS database so that the DEXIS IDs match the eCW patient IDs. eCW technicians attempted to assist us in getting the DEXIS Integrator installed and working on a test machine but were unsuccessful in doing so.

Is anyone able to post their Application Path and File Path settings from eCW as well as the contents of the Integra.ini file as a reference point?

ECW Dental Module Users

Hi all!

We are looking at possibly moving to using the dental module from ECW as we prepare to move into V12 later this year, our head of dental is wanting to see what other users think of the system. We’ve sat through the demo but would like to get some real user opinions. Right now we are using opendental.

Lab Case tracking

Does anyone know how to track lab cases through eCW? I would rather not use te medical lab case tracking. Any suggestion for an app or website for tracking cases?

Scribe and progress notes

We currently enter our prgress notes under Objective > Denal examination/Plan> then under the prcedure.. We cannot figure out how to use Scribe in this area. Any help is appreciated.

Can dental procedure paint types be prioritized in any way?

Right now, when let’s say a tooth has an Existing Other filling…and then dr. puts in a new procedure as a Treatment Plan for another filling on the same tooth, the colors from the Existing Other and the Treatment Plan merge so it looks brownish and difficult to see on the tooth chart… They are wanting the red to override the other colors. Is it possible to assign a priority or something to the entry statuses?

Can you change “Financial Coordinator” on the treatment plan to just “Coordinator”

Treatment Plan date for the procedure cannot be after the Completed date

Has anyone seen this before? I’ve seen this twice now post our 11.52 update. The Treatment plan date is NOT after the date completed, why does this keep coming up?

Dental ICD Codes

Curious….are other practices using ICD Codes on dental claims? When patient is seen by either a RDH or a DDS? Our billing department is very apprehensive about this feature. We are wanting to setup the favorite procedures with ICD and Smart notes. (We are an FQHC if it matters)

Constantly releasing concurrency locks for dental staff?

Ever since we’ve moved to ecw dental we’ve constantly been getting calls daily about staff getting locked out of a chart because another user is accessing that section, even though they’re not currently in there. We have to release the concurrency lock for them to get back in. We get several calls a day regarding this. We don’t really get these calls on the medical side and I’m just curious if you anyone else is also having a similar issue or if you found a way around it?

Managing Dental Conditions

I’m curious if anyone has a good workflow for managing dental conditions. It’s apparently a tedious process for our dentist to place condition teeth but then to mark them completed once the condition is resolved by another procedure. How are you handling this?
