Linked Pharmacy Data Not Saving in Patient Demographics
Date: 11/28/2012 Severity: Moderate
Category: Demographics/SchedulingEMR Reported By: ffpc1
Version: 9.0 Status: New

Is anyone else having this issue?  We will input pharmacy data in pt demographics, click OK to save, and by the time the patient has been seen in the clinic and the staff goes to write the e-rx, there is no pharmacy data saved.  Seems to be an intermittent problem and seems to only happen on a certain pc.

Forgot to say we are on the SaaS platform.

We are having the exact same problem. Support seems to fix the bug, but it recurs. We are also on SAAS

First we were told to change our internet explorer settings. We were told: go to internet explorer -> tools -> internet options -> security -> custom level and enable 2 options 'Allow scriptlets' and 'Display mixed content'.

Then we were told to uninstall/reinstall ecw on that desktop and replace the config file. Which we did. Neither of these seemed to solve the problem.

We ended up swapping that pc with another one in the office that isn't used to enter demographic data (mind you all the pcs are networked, have exactly the same specs, run the same versions of IE with the same settings etc) but we swapped it out anyhow just as a test. It seemed better for a while, but is still recurring periodically.

We are experiencing the same issue and it only happens on our windows 7 machines, but not all of them.

We are an HIT company and a client of ours is experiencing a similar issue. Their issue has to do with all patient demographics in the "INFO" screen not just the pharmacy. We have been able to track the issue to 2 users being in the "INFO" screen at the same time. ECW only saves the data from the last user in the account. Has either of your practices tracked the issue to 2 users accessing patient "INFO" screen simultaneously? Per ECW they have stated that they have never seen the issue where data is lost before; however I am thinking that these 2 issues are interlinked.

The users are on machines running both XP and Windows 7. I have documented steps on what is occurring to create the data loss.
